About

Since childhood, I have always enjoyed a good story.  From listening to my family tell stories around the dinner table to hiding under the covers to read late into the night, my life has and always will be shaped by the craft of storytelling.

The idea behind Erin Rides the Bus dates back to 2012.  With no car and a modest income, I was at a point where I needed to live somewhere that was on the bus route.  That decision lead me to Providence, RI, and ended up changing my life in ways I couldn’t have imagined.

When I brought up the idea to start this blog to a colleague, he immediately suggested that I name it Erin Rides the Bus. While at first, I was unsure of the name, I grew to embrace it and decided to move forward with this project.  This blog serves as a medium for me to tell my story, the stories of others, and to help young professionals to know they’re not alone in navigating the tough decisions we all have to make in this journey called life.
